Jefferson Memorial Wedding | Washington DC Wedding | Joseph + Albie

Spread the love

“Love is the poetry of the senses” – Honore de Balzac.  Joseph + Albie hired me online to shoot their picturesque ceremony at The Jefferson Memorial in the springtime. I had never met them – but had spoken to them via email many times. When they walked up I was so struck by how these two felt about eachother. I could tell right away that they were so happy and ready to commit themselves to marriage. The fact they they were both gorgeous didn’t hurt either!! We started out at the Lincoln Memorial, amidst the construction of the reflecting pool – it was drained and there were trucks lining the sides – not what you picture in your head for wedding shots at The Lincoln! We conquered the constuction however – and got some really cute images. I even got them to wear some goofy glasses for a couple of shots!  We then rode over to The Jefferson to get ready for the ceremony. The weather was perfect and with family watching, they said their vows amongst the cherry blossoms … I was so happy to be able to be a part of such a wonderful day!
